Lauren Best (00:01:23) - We've all had broken hearts, so oh, my goodness, this is amazing work that she does because sometimes that can feel really lonely as well. So just to know that there's someone to really support us in that way is so, so amazing. So Morgan really brings more love and joy into people's lives so that they can create a life aligned with their hearts in her calling. So beautiful. Welcome. Morgan. I can't wait to dig into what you do in the cosmic records Like I'm always hearing about it, but I still feel like I have I'm like on the other side of the window, like glimpsing in really curious. So I can't wait to chat today and just see what we can learn about you and your work and this beautiful access that you have to this healing modality. So welcome. Thank you so much for such a beautiful welcome. I'm so excited to be here today. Amazing. So I want to talk a little bit about, you know, to start off with like why and this is like a big question to ask right away, but I'm going to ask it.

Lauren Best (00:02:26) - That's why we're here. It's like, why this work in broken hearts? What really called you to. Help people and support people in this way. Yeah, it is a great question and it is something that came about from my own life and my own life experience. Um, I was married to a man. I had took this sort of magical adventure and ended up over here in Portugal and ended up getting married. And we had a couple of kids and it just ended up not being the loving, supportive relationship that I really desired and felt that I needed. And so as we dissolved and wanted to get divorced, it came about that I could not actually leave the country and go home to the US because my boys were born there. And whereas never my intention to keep them from their father and their Portuguese family, I really just wanted to go home. And so the way that the relationship, the divorce and getting quote unquote stuck in a foreign country was really, really heartbreaking. And so the way that I was able to navigate myself through that, um, using the Akashic records heavily, I thought, you know what? I am not the only person who has been some through some sort of tricky breakup, any sort of life altering situation that has completely shattered their world.

Lauren Best (00:03:48) - If I can mend my world into a state of joy and happiness and a really beautiful life, surely I can help somebody else through that too. Yeah, because it's like heartbreak upon heartbreak, right? Like you're already going through this divorce with someone you like, love and loved and having children, I'm sure, like, does add this extra layer. I'm I'm not a mom, but knowing, you know, people around me, that extra layer of just like there's just so many layers of heartbreak and I'm not sure if you saw it in that way of like these layers of heartbreak. But I know also being abroad during times of because I've lived abroad quite a bit, but just any type of like heartbreak, whether it be from work or relationships or whatever it may be, feels even more wild when you're just like away from where you were born or your home or you're like family. So I definitely, like, just want to acknowledge that because it is so, so layered and so many forms of heartbreak.

Lauren Best (00:04:57) - It's so, it's so true and love how you put that so beautifully because there were so many layers of heartbreak and like you had experience, you just feel like your feet aren't on the ground, you aren't in your rooted, you're not in your roots when you're abroad or a place that isn't your, quote unquote, home. You know, it's not where you call home. And so that does add an extra layer. And we always talk about healing in terms of peeling back the next layer, right? The onion analogy is so used, but I often talk about assisting others in healing those layers around the heart, and this is exactly how they happen. One situation can be heartbreaking in several different ways, so by acknowledging those layers, it gives you a sense in a point of reference of how to start healing one layer at a time. Yeah. Oh my gosh, it's so true. And with this, you know, Akashic Records, is this something that you were aware of before this happened in your life? Or how did this like.

Lauren Best (00:05:58) - Awareness and this I don't even want to call it utilization. It's like it became I imagine it's become like a huge part of your life, right? So how did you when did that happen? Like, when was this like access to this introduced for you and your life? Yeah. So I've always considered myself intuitive. I've always been intuitive. I've always had, you know, premonitions. When I was a little girl in my previous life, I was an acupuncturist. And in her and working with patients in that way, I would just get a lot of intuitive information about what was happening. But there was still a part of me that did not understand those intuitive gifts and and how to use them, how to grow them and how they could serve me. And it was aware of what the Akashic records were. And it always felt like something that someone who was really spiritually advanced could do. And that just was not me. And so when I was coming to this point of realizing and actually acknowledging, I was stuck in a situation that was really toxic, I felt extremely trapped.

Lauren Best (00:07:03) - I needed somewhere to go. And no matter how close my friend was, how trusted some spiritual advisor was, I could not in good faith listen to somebody else's advice of what to do. It needed to come from within me, but also needed some support. And so the records came calling again and I found a mentor who teaches how to access the records. And by going through the process and learning how to do it, it is something I have done most of my life. I did not know I was doing it right. So. Right. Yeah. Yeah. So to be able to put it all together and consciously open my records, consciously understand how to go in and ask for the next step and which is one of the most beautiful things about the records you can ask the next step to help you get where you need to go. Yeah, it was coming from my guides and also I wanted to kind of drive the ship, so to speak. I wanted to know the direction of what the next step look like.

Lauren Best (00:08:07) - And so it was very empowering to have it be a combination of assistance with the mentor, working with my guides and letting me choose what I wanted to do for my life for once. And I guess for those who are listening and are like, What are you talking about? Records? Can you tell us like, yeah, what it is? And so I can really like understand or just have for awareness for those like me who of course heard it, but you know, and probably do it in different ways and especially in hypnosis. But I'd love to hear a little bit about that, of course. And it's always it's such a beautiful question. I love explaining it to and, um, defining it in a sense. So the Akashic records are an energetic realm of infinite possibilities in every word, deed, thought and action since the inception of your soul is recorded there so you can access the records. The keepers of the records are called the Guardians or the Masters teachers and loved ones, and you can connect with them and receive love and support and guidance in all areas of your life.

Lauren Best (00:09:15) - And this can be applicable to the past, present and future. Wow. Wow. It's like, incredible. It's like it's just like, feels like this thing that it's like the secret that is, you know, it is. They say we don't come with a book, but we do. We come with this guide, and by accessing it, we can understand and fold time in that we can figure out what pattern is blocking us, what familial trauma is actually underneath what is going on in our unconscious mind. We can get to that root very quickly by using the records and then you're able to heal that. And new possibility can come in. And that's what I think is just so beautiful, is it provides us the opportunity to evolve and to grow and to receive new possibilities. And that's what this like these conversations and what I'm wanting to share through this podcast is like there are so not only are there so many possibilities out there for our lives that we hadn't even imagined, but there's so many ways that we can begin to open ourselves up to discovering these new possibilities and, you know, being able to work with someone like yourself, who is that guardian of the Akashic Records? You know, how would someone or how do you work with people in order to, you know, access those for them, support them? What does that experience look like? It really depends on what the client's looking for, but obviously most of my clients.

Lauren Best (00:10:57) - Of not all of them are coming with some sort of issue that is broken their heart. I do work heavily on breakups, relationships, and I have a kind of a fun expertise. I'm a soulmate connector so I can connect soul energy in the Akashic Records to help people shift their frequency. But for example, like, I was working with a client just the other day and she's. Like never had a relationship where she was an alpha and had to take care of everything. And it's never been really supportive for her because she doesn't feel supported when she's been financially responsible, emotionally responsible. And she's very accomplished. She's very successful. And going back and looking at what was really happening behind this, there was this pattern when her father passed away, who was sort of the only man who had ever had her back and taken care of her on an energetic sense, she stepped up to fulfill his role. And so this became like a frequency, almost like a beacon that she was putting out and unconsciously, obviously.

Lauren Best (00:12:03) - And so she was attracting these men that she was responsible for. And so by going into the records, looking at this, we did a healing around it. And she just messaged me a couple hours ago saying that she met this man and she had this conversation with him and he was completely polar opposite of any other man that's come into her world the way that he spoke. I mean, he was an alpha male. He was very he was a great listener. It was like resolving all of that noise around relationships allowed the proper one to come in for her. Oh, my gosh. And it's really cool because it is like I think, you know, when you say it's like mending these broken heart or like supporting people to mend these broken hearts, it's like also perhaps, yes, to be in relationship or find that soulmate, but also that self-love for themselves where it's like, okay, not only do I know what I want because of what I've experienced in the past, is not being a healthy thing for me, but also like I am worthy enough to not only like, No, this is what I want, but actually begin attracting.

Lauren Best (00:13:15) - Yeah, those that vibrations and those those other hearts out there in the world that are that match. So I think that is like such a beautiful part about it is like that self-love and then that you know universal love and attracting that love and it just seems like again, so many more layers to it of Yeah it's true. And it does. That is the one place we always go in. My favorite thing within the records, whether someone's looking for a relationship or to just mend themselves and you always connect to a deeper source of love within. And it's really beautiful because every layer you peel back, you remember more of you. You take one more step toward wholeness and your soul wants to evolve. So sometimes we have these situations that arrive in our life. That can look like a mess. They can feel like a disaster and they can be really painful. But underneath is always an opportunity to evolve. And the more we seize those opportunities, the less messes and disasters we're going to have because we're moving forward more in that whole state of internal love and relationship with ourself.

Lauren Best (00:14:28) - Amazing. Oh, it's so, so good. And do you think, like, are there other ever people that comes to see you with that desire of like, yes, mending their broken hearts for more of that self-love, but perhaps don't necessarily come with that desire to like meet that soul soulmate? Oh yeah. You know, sometimes it's in the back of people's mind, but other times people are very aware that, you know what? Maybe someday I will, but I need to work on me first. Yeah. And because what that does is provides clarity. The more you know yourself, the more you heal. You get clarity on what you want. And it may or may not be a partner. Or if it is a partner, it may look completely different than any relationship you've experienced in the past. But you don't know that till you can get to that point of, you know, self-love and self worth again. Mhm. Oh it's so beautiful. It's so, so beautiful. And it makes me think as well of a friend of mine who totally am like every day I'm like you need to start teaching people or like do a course and how to manifest your soulmate because she totally has.

Lauren Best (00:15:37) - And I think a big part of that was, well, like working on her self-love and being very clear on the type of partner she really wants in her life and just having that clarity. And I know she wrote it down in her journal and it's so true. It's really powerful. Yeah, I'm actually working on a very comprehensive, um, soulmate manifestation, I want to say guide, but it's, it's all based on building an intention and intentions are what manifests and the more clear you are and spend time in qualities, right? Like what are your values, what are your non-negotiables, what are your communication style needs? What are your support style needs? When you start looking at these things more than physical qualities, more than chemistry, and these are the things that are going to show up and provide a foundation to build a really deep, lasting, supportive relationship. Right? And so the way to go about that is really looking at how am I having boundaries with myself? Am I holding myself accountable to my own values? Am I listening to my non-negotiables? Because if something is a yes, that means I have to say no to something else, right? And so when you start looking at it in terms like this and switching your own behavior and thought patterns, it is really powerful.

Lauren Best (00:17:01) - I love that your friend was able to do that. That's so cool. Oh, it's so cool. And it's great that you're like you're designing this experience for people to also begin to invite those intentions into their lives and, you know, take those those steps to really find that mending of their own heart so that they can be open to aligning to other people as well. So is there anything that you think when it comes to. Mending a broken heart that you think is really important for people to know in terms of just, you know, because it starts with a lot of self compassion and it can be really hard when people have gone through any type of heartbreak to not just whether it's feeling guilt or shame or whatever, emotions that are very heavy. You know, what is one thing that you think is really important for people to hear? Having gone through it yourself, but also being that person, who is that guide for people? Yeah, and you nailed it. Self-compassion is such a great place to start.

Lauren Best (00:18:07) - What I usually recommend is getting to a place of suspending judgment so you can have compassion for how things transpired, and then you can work your way to forgiveness of how things transpired. Because when you can take it off yourself and the other person, you don't get stuck in that judgment and that resentment and needing to go straight to forgiveness because that is a deeper layer. So really suspending that and allow yourself the grace to be in whatever it is in, because the one thing I hear over and over is heartbreak leaves people feeling like they're broken or they're not. There's something wrong with them. And that is absolutely not the case for any soul. So just knowing to to give yourself that grace is always the first step. Yeah. Oh, that's so beautiful. And what you said about suspending judgment like that is so beautiful. But I'm sure it, like, it feels really hard for a lot of people. So what are some ways that you think like, what are some invitations that you think people can or permission slips people can give themselves to work towards that and get to that place where they can actually suspend that judgment that they're that they're feeling? Yeah, because I love that the permission slips, that's a great way to put it, because it's true.

Lauren Best (00:19:33) - And you have to start in small quantities, because if you think you're just going to suspend all judgment is just not going to happen. So when you start going down the judgment rabbit hole or you start having some feelings that are maybe like negative towards yourself or the situation. Take a breath, pause, and then catch that feeling. And once you've caught it, you can feel it. It can be nasty, it can be awful. And then you're going to give yourself permission to void that out. And so by avoiding and cancelling, you're literally telling your brain, I'm not thinking this anymore. And that allows you to choose a different feeling. So if you are tired of being in anger and some anger comes up, let that anger come up, void it out and choose peace. You don't have to go straight to love and joy and happiness. Sometimes choosing peace is a good step or choosing grace. Choosing something where you can just take that pause and muster all you can to feel that new feeling and play this little game with yourself every time some lower vibrating emotions come up.

Lauren Best (00:20:42) - Anytime you get stuck in a loop of thinking or feeling in a way that you just don't want to do anymore, and even neutral energy feeling like a neutral place of energy, whether it's and it's amazing every like how much I think this is showing up more and more within what I'm seeing with a lot of my hypnosis clients is like, you know this. Intention that I share with them before we start a session is like, you know, your subconscious mind is going to show you exactly what it is you are meant to see and feel and whatever, right? And then and I experienced this and I have experienced this quite a lot of like, you know, being asked these really provoking questions where it's like still, I don't know. And, you know, that is also amazing to you. That's exactly where you need to be, is like perhaps in this neutral energy and not thinking or feeling or, you know, going towards these different polarity places. Maybe the middle and this neutral energy is absolutely perfect.

Lauren Best (00:21:48) - So I think that can also be such an act of grace, of just knowing like it doesn't have to feel really high, it doesn't have to feel really low, but perhaps we can just simply be and just feel that neutrality around us because that is another like beautiful foundation and launching point to really begin to expand into more love and expand our hearts as well. Such a great point. Um, neutral energy is exactly the place to get yourself to when you are struggling with a heartbreak. We have the aspects of our being. Most people are familiar with the mind, body, soul concept. We'll break it down even further. So if you think of your mind is a mental aspect of you. You have an emotional aspect of yourself as well. And then of course, we have our physical. In the Akash we work with like six different aspects, but those are the the mental, the emotional and the physical. They get exhausted through heartbreak. Yeah. And they do a lot of work. Your mental body is a processing, your mental aspect is processing a lot of thoughts, thinking things over your emotional well you know, don't really need to explain that we all know what happens to our emotional body in heartbreak and it can come out into our physical body where we're either really tired, our appetite is messed with.

Lauren Best (00:23:12) - Either we eat a lot, we don't eat it all our sleep schedules off, things like that. So coming back to neutral allows this pause for these aspects of us to rest and reset, and that assists us in just feeling better as it is. Yeah. Oh my gosh. It's amazing. It really is amazing. And that's something that I myself have been like after going through a different types of heartbreak in the beginning of the pandemic or throughout the pandemic, you know, lose like ending a very long relationship and losing my grandmother. And it was like, again, layers of stacks of heartbreak and also like, you know, not recognizing myself anymore. And I think that's a whole nother heartbreak of just like also, like not feeling confident in yourself, not really believing in yourself anymore, thinking like, can I even trust my intuition? Because look where I'm at. And I think, you know, just getting to this, that, that neutral place, but also like realizing how much that emotional stress manifested for me in my body and in weight gain and in severe pain and just not feeling good a lot of the time.

Lauren Best (00:24:31) - Like this last month, I've felt better than I have in years, but it really was recognizing that mind body connection and allowing energy to move through somatic practices and just like being like, okay, I don't have to live in this pain anymore, but really, like you, I wanted to bring this up because you shared about like that connection that we have and there's so many ways that these things live together. But you also mentioned that there's six different things that you look at at the Akashic Records. Is that a secret for you to keep or is that something that we can. No, no, I'm happy to share that. So we touched on the mental, the emotional and the physical body. We also look at your spiritual body. Yeah. Your inner child and your ego. And now your ego's job is to help keep you safe. And so oftentimes when we are in uncharted water, we're in defense mode. Our ego can come in and what they typically do is kind of make us relive old patterns.

Lauren Best (00:25:37) - And the more that they can feel safe, the easier we can move through these things. And one of the ways to do that you touched on is where you felt like you couldn't trust your own intuition, right? Most of the layers where my heart was broken was because my intuition had told me something that I did not listen to. I did not know how to listen to or I didn't know what to do about it. So that was a place that I went back and worked on myself knowing my intuition had told me something. Yeah, I could suspend the judgment because I was like really curious. Wait a minute, what was my intuition trying to tell me? Why do I feel like it's not good enough just to say, you know what, my intuition is telling me This is not an alignment. I felt like I needed to have this big case to present. And so that gave me a place to look at where some of my maybe people pleasing behaviors had come from and things like that. And it also helped me connect back into that intuition.

Lauren Best (00:26:39) - Yeah, so that's a way to work with your ego, to trust that intuition so he or she gets out of your way and you can move forward with a little more ease and grace. It's amazing. I so, so relate to that because I think that is definitely like the way you said that of like your intuition was telling you, but you ignored it. That's exactly think exactly what happened to me and I'm sure so many other people and for me also was in like physical manifestations already of like my body telling me like, hey, like my intuition. Like, hey, you're not listening to us. Right? And so think that also, um, can bring on a lot of those really, you know, devastating feelings of like, oh, when you look back, it's like, okay, But it's like all these lessons that we need to learn in order to begin healing and expanding and. I just think that there's like, I can't wait. I'm, like, signing up to work with you.

Lauren Best (00:27:40) - I'm like, I need to know more. Like, you know, just like these patterns, like you said, think these patterns, um, you know, when it comes to heartbreak or anything is just like when we can become more self-aware of these patterns is one thing, but also, like working through those patterns to really move to a place where we don't have to accept those patterns anymore, or we don't have to subconsciously be spinning in those circles, or we don't have to always be stuck in that ego place where it's just like second nature to keep us safe. So I think, you know, you sharing it in this way of where the ego is involved as well really paints a different picture to me as someone who, you know, is curious to keep on this journey of like, okay, what are some things within the pattern? I already have some awareness for some of these patterns, but like next step is really surrender. Yeah, exactly. And that's really beautiful because these type of patterns around love go really deep.

Lauren Best (00:28:54) - You know, we're kind of in the first wave of generation where healing is very accessible to us. Yeah. And so by looking back further so we all carry ancestral trauma and that can look like the way your ancestors gave and received love. And ten generations back, it may have worked for them. It may have not. Chances are it is not working for us now. We need to modernize that. And that's where a lot of those deep rooted patterns come from. And your ego can kick those up. So by bringing those really far forward, you're doing your ancestors a favor and healing and it heals back in the line and it also heals forward in the line for anybody who has children, who wants to have children, it cleans it out on a on a cellular level. And so by looking at these deep patterns, really mend your own broken heart, but has a ripple effect to any blood relation as well, which is really beautiful. Oh, it's amazing. Like just opening, like having my eyes opened in the last few years about, you know, this idea of these ten generations of ancestral trauma carried through our own DNA.

Lauren Best (00:30:04) - And just knowing that, like so much like you said, of our generation now has this access and these resources and the support to really do move through the work of like breaking these patterns is just I don't know, it feels obviously it's magical, but it just feels really like unbelievable in a way. And I know for some people who are listening who, you know, this is like another perhaps another possibility that they never imagined. Once again, I'm just like, this is possible for them. I think it just. Is so impactful. The work that you are doing and able to support people to like it's I can't even emphasize how beautiful this is because it really, like you said, is life changing for us as individuals. But for those folks who have children or want to have children, knowing that, you know, some of that like that perfectionism or whatever these patterns are can like, they don't have to continue. And there is that opportunity to enjoy life in a different way and have different possibilities within our life.

Lauren Best (00:31:23) - It's just like, Oh, it gives me all the butterflies and like, it's true. It's such an honor to work with the ancestral line. And it I see it rapidly affect my children. Like through my own heartbreak, I, I noticed they were having a really hard time and I was trying to find some support and love and things for them. The more healing I was doing, the more I was seeing the rapid shifts in their contentment, their behavior, their groundedness and their quiet little. They're five and four. So it was like overnight I noticed changes and even their teachers were commenting how this big turnaround and shift and the only thing I've been doing is working in the records and healing some of these really, really deep patterns. Oh, so beautiful. Well, Morgan, how can people find you? Where will they find you?
